The Brown-Drip Tree Stump Porcelain Vintage Tea Bark Set is a handcrafted, one-of-a-kind tea service set perfect for collectors and tea enthusiasts. This folk-art pottery, dating back to the 1950s–1960s, features a sculpted tree stump design with a dark brown swirl pattern. Made from glazed porcelain, the set includes a teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, cups, and saucers, all resembling wood while being entirely ceramic. The teapot holds up to 20 fluid ounces, making it ideal for a tea-for-two setup.
This unique vintage tea set is not only functional but also a decorative masterpiece, highlighting the artisan’s attention to detail. With its natural aesthetic and timeless appeal, it’s an excellent addition to rustic, woodland-themed, or vintage-inspired settings. Collectors of abstract folk art or mid-century pottery will appreciate its rarity and charm.
Approximate Overall Dimensions:
1 Tea pot vessel (covered) with lid is about 8.5″ (L) x 5.25″ (H). Teapot holds about 2 2/3 cups of fluid (about 20 oz.);
1 Creamer is about 4.5″ (L) x 3.25″ (H);
1 Sugar Bowl (covered) with lid is about 6″ (L) x 4″ (H);
2 Cups are about 4.25″ (L) x 2.5″ (H) each;
2 Saucers are about 5.5″ (W) x .75″ (H) each.
This one-of-a-kind, abstract, sculpted in the style of wood. Artist maker is unknown. We were told the partially torn vintage label attached underneath the Milk / Creamer bowl is from a previous auction house; however, we cannot confirm the label. Teapot is heavy.
Very good condition. Since it is handmade art pottery, there will be artistic and firing imperfections. As shown in photos, there seems to be a very tiny chip under sugar bowl lid on rim (no chip on any edges), and a line/seam/separation, underneath the glaze, is in teapot opening which seems to be throwing or firing flaw. There are no other visible chips, no cracks, no crazing, and no repairs. See photos for complete description.
