American country “Amish” farming scene featuring a farmer and wife holding a bushel of crops. Surrounding them are crops in the field, wheat sheafs tied together, roosters ( farm animals ) and corn plants.
Rectangle shaped covered dish. Turquoise blue paint on frost white milk glass color scheme*. This mid-century modern pattern is also known as: Amish, Farmer & Wife, Buttercup, Rooster & Corn. The handles (“ears”) go around the entire dish. This retro butter dish was made and originally advertised by PRYEX as “Serve ‘N Store Butter Dish” between 1957 – 1968. Impressed underneath dish reads “TRADEMARK 32 PYREX ® MADE IN U.S.A.”
