Which is More Valuable – Bone China or Porcelain?

Bone China vs. Porcelain - Which is More Valuable?

Bone china is generally considered more valuable than porcelain. This is because bone china incorporates bone ash, making it stronger, thinner, and more translucent than regular porcelain. It also has a warmer, creamier hue, whereas porcelain tends to be a brighter white. Due to its higher durability and delicate craftsmanship, bone china is typically more expensive than porcelain.

That said, the value of either depends on factors like brand, age, rarity, and condition. Some antique porcelain pieces can be extremely valuable, especially if they come from renowned manufacturers or have historical significance.
